St. George!

Well, for Easter weekend, we went to St. George! It was wonderful, a nice break for everyone. :) We celebrated Easter down there, so it was nice and warm. We dyed lots of Easter eggs (to show lots of Easter spirit!) and had some nice treats left for us by the Easter bunny! And when I say a lot of eggs, I mean A LOT! 4 dozen, to be exact. :)

During the week, we swam, played tennis, rode bikes, went to Snow Canyon, and slept in! In Snow Canyon, we took our scooters down one of the biking/walking trails. It gets pretty steep in some places, and so you go super fast! Matthew was a little bit nervous at first, but soon was flying down the trail with the rest of us. My dad got going a little too fast, and pushed on his brake a little too hard, and his wheel started to melt! It was quite an adventure, and luckily, we all made it out alive and well!

We ate at a Mexican restaurant called 'Irmitas,' owned by my friend's mom. The food was delicious -- and they let us dress up in their Sombreros for a picture!

We had a great time in St. George! We soaked up lots of sunshine, and made lots of good memories :)

Exciting news!

Family!

So some of you might have already heard (my dad was pretty excited about it), but I thought I'd put it on here . . .

I got accepted to Northwestern Law School last week!

I haven't officially accepted yet, since I'm still waiting to hear from a couple of schools, but I've pretty much decided to go there. So come fall, I'll be moving to Chicago! I'm very excited. Not only is it a great school, but it's Dad's alma mater and my birthplace.

The black building is the law school. It's right downtown and super awesome!

I'll be sad to leave you guys, but I'm pretty psyched to start a new adventure.

See you all soon! Love you all!

CHINA BABY!

A fun time had by all in the Dan and Shelley family at the Great Wall of China. We took the sleeper train from Shanghai to Bejing and then had a chartered bus for 15 of us (Cam's family and Leon -- Dan's father). Crazy steps climbing up to the top of the area we were on the wall but oh so much fun. Took hundreds of pics. All fun in China except seeing pig snouts in the meat market and squat toilets.

Hey famsy!!!

So life is hectic, good, but hectic.  I'm finally finding some ladies to put on the prospect list (well I found one), but that's a good start at least right?  I'm currently waiting for 12 o'clock a.m. so I can sign up for spring semester class, hopefully majoring in public relations (we'll see if I got it right this time).  The Lord will guide!  I found this really awesome 20 foot mailbox the other night on a date with my friend.  It says "BILLS" up on the high mailbox and it has a normal sized mailbox below it to the left.  Them country folk sure are funny!  Love you all!

Why didn't we think of that?

When they tell you to child-proof your house, why do they never mention metronomes? Benjamin pulled ours down on his head. We were glad that the doctor could glue the cut.

I love you a bushel and a peck

Here is a little slideshow I made for my kids with some of the songs Grandma used to sing to me. Enjoy!
